The ProStart Leadership in Service Scholarship

The ProStart Leadership in Service Scholarship recognizes students from a Montana certified ProStart program who demonstrates exemplary leadership in the ProStart program.

By February 15, applicants must complete the form at this link, and upload the following:

• Application form & response to two essay prompts (download the document)
• Current high school transcript
• Two letters of recommendation: one from the ProStart Teacher and one from a School Administrator or Community Leader
• Current picture (preferably a head shot)

The ProStart Ultimate Leader

”The ProStart Ultimate Leader” is someone who mobilizes others to want to excel within the ProStart classroom. They exhibit exceptional culinary and/or management skills and exemplary leadership by:

• Modeling the way;
• Inspiring a shared vision;
• Challenging the process;
• Enabling others to act; and
• Encouraging the heart.

They make a difference in their school, and as a result of their leadership, the Montana ProStart program is stronger.

NOMINATION PROCESS:

• Submit up to two nomination forms online (per school) providing specific examples of how the individual exhibits exemplary leadership as a ProStart student.
• Picture of the candidate (to be included in the State Leadership Conference program if selected)

DUE DATE & QUESTIONS:

• February 15
• A confirmation email will be sent upon receipt of the nomination forms.

The 2025 Educator of Excellence Awards are now open! Please consider nominating a Montana ProStart teacher who goes above and beyond to inspire students! Nominations are accepted through February 15.
