New Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship Competitions for 2025-2026 School
Year!
Montana FCCLA is excited to announce a partnership with ActiveLearningLabs to
provide fun, interactive competitions that help students across the state build real-world
skills in financial literacy and entrepreneurship.
During the 2025–2026 school year, Montana FCCLA members will have the
opportunity to participate in three statewide team competitions, plus two individual
mastery competitions.
Collaborative Team Competitions
There will be three rounds of competitions throughout the school year:
Fall Competition (Oct 21 – Nov 14, 2025): Pairs of students will run a simulated snack stand at their school’s field day, working together to set prices and quantities for four snack items and compete for the highest profit at the end of the simulated day.
Winter Competition (Jan 19 – Feb 27, 2026): Teams of up to 5 students will launch and manage a virtual online store selling school-branded apparel. Teams will focus on product selection, branding, promotion, pricing, and purchasing.
Spring Competition (Mar 9 – Apr 3, 2026): Teams of students will launch a virtual food truck business, using competitive analysis to choose locations and set product prices to maximize sales.
Awards: In each round, the winning statewide team will receive $25 gift cards for each team member. Winners will be judged on profitability, teamwork, and the quality of their answers to reflective questions.
Teacher Registration: Teachers can register their students at: Register Your Classroom Here
